Beacon Hill is well known for it's doors, how that came about is anyones guess!
Most of the doors featured here are of the Federalist Style of Architecture.

I'm told the designs were heavily influenced by Master Architect Charles Bulfinch. His work can also be seen in the State House Gallery and Faneuil Hall Section of this website.
