Faneuil
Hall/ Quincy Market
Boston Massachusetts
The French have always seemed to like America, not only did they give us the Statue of Liberty, they also gave us Faneuil Hall!
It's true!
Back in 1742, a well-to-do French Merchant, Peter Faneuil had it built by John Smibert and donated it to Boston.
The first floor was a marketplace and the second story had a large meeting room where people like Samuel Adams planned their revolutionary antics!
These days, Faneuil Hall is still a marketplace, along with Quincy Market, South Market and North Market.
Due to being so close to Faneuil Hall, I've included images of the Holocaust Memorial and Union Street.
Modernized and urbanized, the Marketplace has many shops, restaurants and food stalls and a variety of street performers. A very fun place to visit...more!
