Gloucester is well known for fishing and
lobsters, but it also holds the treasure known as Hammond
Castle.
Built by Mr. Hammond to be his home, he imported parts and arts from Italian, French and English Castles to build his, high up on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Gloucester.
It is now considered a museum and holds special events through out the year. It is also available for rental for weddings and the like.
The Castle also boasts a beautiful garden that attracted butterflies by the hundreds!
Well worth the visit when touring the North Shore!
