Easthampton is an old factory town that
has become a haven for Artists moving out of Northampton in
favor of slightly cheaper rents...
Many of the old factories still stand and some have been converted to Artist's spaces, office buildings or marketplaces.
The mainstays in a town such as this seems to be the neighborhood pubs.
As a matter of fact, three of the most popular are side by side on Cottage St. (Route 141) in Easthampton.
For music, Brass Cat and Whiskerz are the places to go. Whiskerz IS a Biker Bar, so be warned (they are a friendly lot tho)!
Speaking of music, there are weekly concerts held in the Gazebo on the town commons, FREE to all!
The beauty of Easthampton really lies in the scenery of the area.
The beautiful Nashawannuck Pond reflects Holyoke's Mt. Tom, Swans can be found year round in Easthampton.
Easthampton also has a wonderful bike path that puts you right back into nature and borders on an Audubon Sanctuary!
Easthampton is about an hour and a half West of Boston.
When you visit, stop into Nini's Ristorante on Cottage St for a fine Italian dinner at affordable prices!
